sturdy 3-dimensional sculptures. The 3-

Tree of Life Kit - $48
Previous needle felting experience
recommended for this kit. These instructions
will take you through the techniques for
creating a smooth, even felted mat, sturdy 3-
dimensional sculptural forms and the process
for using wire armature, allowing your finished
tree to be fully poseable.
Your finished Tree of Life will stand
approximately 7 – 9” tall and sit on a mat base
that’s approximately 12” oval. Your tree will be
a stunning 4-season display piece with a
removable wool leaf canopy that can “fall” in
autumn to reveal bare, winter branches. Your
kit comes with some “fall foliage” and “winter
snow” to allow your tree to move through the
cycle of the seasons. Because of the more
delicate nature of this project it would not be
suitable as a child’s play toy. However, it’s
branches will be bendable and can stand up to
gentle handling and posing. And, certainly
children would enjoy celebrating the coming of
each season by doing the honor of changing the
leaf canopy colors.

| If you don’t live close to St. Paul, Minneapolis MN to take a class in person, these kits will give you the next best thing! These are my most popular class projects packaged complete with wool, tools, and instructions. These kits are designed for adults and children aged 12 and up. There are serious safety issues with needle felting and although very small children are physically capable of poking a felting needle they lack the consciousness to prevent poking themselves, as well. These kits are especially inappropriate for young children because of the multi-needle tool used.
