PAINTING WITH WOOL
(class description from Adult School catalog)

The easy and fun fiber-art called needlefelting is a scant five years old, but it's spreading like wildfire!
With unspun wool, a special needle and no formal art background you can make amazing works of real art.
Instead of traditional "paint" we'll use unspun wool for our pallet, allowing us to create a texture and
vibrancy unique to fiber art.  We will combine several felting processes, traditional wet and modern
dry/needlefelting, to create a finished painting that's as durable as a wool blanket and as beautiful as any
work of art.  You may choose to do an abstract, portrait or landscape picture, 18" x 24" in size and
suitable for hanging.  The class requires no previous experience as wet and needlefelting techniques are
learned in mere minutes, leaving lots of time to dig in and let your creative juices flow.  For a look at a
completed painting you may visit the instructor's website:  www.sagedreamdesign.com.

Note:  bring picture samples with you (pictures without a lot of intricate details work best).  The
instructor will also supply sample pictures that may be used for inspiration.  A supply list will be mailed
to students prior to the first class meeting.  There will be a materials fee of $20 due at the first class.
